Message from the Planning Committee

Plans have shifted for our 45^th reunion, but that does not diminish our excitement in celebrating this important milestone. The additional time leading up to the event gives us a special opportunity to look back, reconnect, and share the memories we made together at our medical school alma mater. Class Notes

Oksana Baltarowich: After graduation I did my residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston (fantastic!). From there I moved to Philadelphia for fellowship in Diagnostic Ultrasound and CT at Thomas Jefferson University and stayed on as faculty for the next 41 years (terrific!). Raised a family including 3 amazing daughters. Retired as of 7/1/2021 and am spending lots of fun time with my grandchildren (precious moments!). P.S. I was surprised to see that Basia Jenkins and my lab partner John van Dalson passed away. Does anyone have any information about them? How scary and sad.

Michael Harris: So sorry to hear of the passing of my buds from Medical School, Robert (Bob) Anderson and Matteo (Matt) Dinolfo.  I kept in touch with Matt just prior to our 40th reunion 5 years ago in Southern California but he was too busy at work to attend.  I understand he developed ALS and passed away 8/19. I remember Bob and I once skipped class on a Thursday and drove to an impromptu overnight party at Michigan State University driving back for lectures on Friday too tired, hungover or wasted to get much out of the lectures by Dr. Ramlau in Anatomy.  Condolences and sympathies heartily extended to their families.  We will miss them both.

James Michel: I'm now retired and was recently contacted through Facebook by a patient who found photos of my home visits to her 40 years ago, in a tiny Colorado mountain town, where I attended her jaundiced newborn as we treated her with direct sunlight during some mid-winter snows. She is now living in Florida with that daughter and her nine year old son. I'd be pleased to share the photos.
