Danielle Daniel, M.D. '99
Dr. Danielle Daniel was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. She was educated through the Detroit Public School system and graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1991.
Dr. Daniel received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University. She obtained her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1999. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Detroit Medical Center.
As a board certified internist, Dr. Daniel has enjoyed serving in a variety of health care settings. She has cared for seniors both at home through Visiting Physicians Association Southfield and in clinic through Oak Street Health Inkster.
Dr. Daniel provided quality care for 11 years at Henry Ford Medical Group in Canton, Michigan.
Dr. Daniel currently works for the State of Michigan in the medical services department as a consultant to forensic psychiatrists at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Saline, Michigan.
Dr. Daniel traveled to Uganda in 2014 and 2020 to provide medical services to its inhabitants and training to eager health care workers.
Dr. Daniel is grateful for the opportunities that a WSU SOM education has provided her. She continues to annually expose kids to medicine through Future Docs, sponsor white coats, assist with USLME preparation, and interview applicants to WSU SOM.
When away from work, Dr. Daniel enjoys traveling, singing and teaching at Tree of Life Bible Fellowship in Royal Oak, and spending quality time with her husband and three daughters.
