Dr. Elana Folbe grew up in Huntington Woods, Michigan. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Dartmouth College and completed her Medical Doctorate at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2021. During medical school, she was involved in the Promotions Committee, Service Learning Program, Jewish Medical Student Association, and the Medicine and Political Action Committee.

Dr. Folbe is a proud WSUSOM alumnus, as many of her family members have graduated from the School of Medicine. She is currently an anesthesiology resident at Henry Ford Health and hoping to pursue both cardiothoracic anesthesia and critical care fellowships.
