Renee Dwaihy

Dr. Renee Dwaihy is a graduate of WSU-SOM Class of 2000 and is a board-certified internist. She completed her residency at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit in 2003, and has practiced internal medicine with a focus on teaching since that time.

She currently works as a clinician educator with Wayne Health, and precepts the Internal Medicine resident clinic, as well as rounding inpatient on the academic teams at the Detroit Medical Center.  Dr. Dwaihy is passionate about educating students and residents, and is active in both didactic and bedside teaching.  Her clinical interests include obesity and metabolic health, and the impact of social determinants of health on those pervasive conditions.
