William Murdoch, M.D. '05, Res, '08
Dr. Murdoch did his undergraduate studies at Hope College, in Holland, Michigan, and graduated with his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Murdoch completed his residency training at the WSU/Crittenton Family Medicine Residency in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and joined the faculty after graduation, eventually becoming associate program director. He currently serves as the Designated Institutional Official at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital, in Monroe, Michigan, where he is also the founding Program Director of the Transitional Year Residency and Chief of the Department of Family Medicine.
Dr. Murdoch's clinical passion is teaching inpatient medicine to residents. He was one of the first family physicians nationwide to receive the Recognition of Focused Practice in Hospital Medicine from the ABFM/ABIM, and has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Murdoch is also an active scholar, with nineteen peer-reviewed publications including several nationally recognized curricula.
