Career Evening
Career Evening is held each year to give students an opportunity to speak with physicians and learn about your specialties. This is a valuable evening for medical students and they appreciate your willingness to share your insight and experience. The medical students attend to learn about:
- Your "typical" day
- The general path that one must take to practice in your field and the path that you took
- When and how you decided to go into your field and the main reasons you think others have chosen this specialty
- Anything that you now know that you wish you had known as a medical student
- Describe your family dynamic and how you make time for a successful professional and personal life
- Information on the application process
- Pros and cons of practicing medicine in hospitals vs. private practice
- Is there a demand for doctors in your field?
Both faculty and alumni volunteer for this annual event. If you are interested in participating in this event, please submit the following information.
