Prospective Student Engagement

Admissions Committee Screener: Each year more than 6,000 applicants compete for 290 spots.  The Office of Admissions needs dedicated alumni to complete the first step in the holistic admissions process.    Alumni will read the applications and corresponding letters of recommendation and score them according to a pre-established rubric.

Admissions Committee Member: The Office of Admissions seeks alumni to help select qualified medical school applicants who can excel in an environment focused on urban clinical excellence. Members of the Admissions Committee conduct one-on-one interviews with applicants during Interview Days; evaluate applicant performance and provide feedback to the Executive Committee as a piece of a student's medical school application.

Admissions Recruiter:  The Office of Admissions seeks to connect SOM graduates around the country with prospective medical students.  Alumni will make phone calls or send notes to prospective students and work with the admissions advisor to host events in their area.
