Dr. Paul Fu grew up in Michigan and graduated from Wayne State SOM in 2014 where he also met his wife. He then moved to Connecticut where he completed his residency in Neurology at Yale New Haven Hospital.
During residency, Dr. Fu became very passionate about process improvement and joined the Yale Clinical Optimization Team as physician lead and completed the healthcare management track under the mentorship of Dr. Babar Khokhar. After residency, he stayed on at Yale as assistant professor in Neurology, was the inaugural Medical Director of Telehealth for Yale Medicine, and completed his MBA at the Yale School of Management.
He has served as the Chief Medical Officer for Auburn Community Hospital and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Sturdy Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty health system in southeastern Massachusetts. Dr. Fu remains passionate about service line development, innovation, and process improvement in healthcare and serves on multiple boards including ACOs and startups. Dr. Fu also remains intimately tied to Wayne State SOM, frequently touching base with friends and mentors that he met in Detroit.
