Medical Alumni Association
Since 1868, the Wayne State University School of Medicine has educated and trained more than 26,000 highly-skilled and compassionate physicians, researchers and public health professionals. The Office of Alumni Affairs and the Medical Alumni Association seek to provide meaningful ways to connect and engage its alumni and current students with their alma mater and with each other.
Your active involvement is important to the continued growth and pursuit of excellence of the School of Medicine. Whether you live in the metropolitan Detroit area or anywhere across the nation, there are many meaningful ways to become involved, stay connected and make an impact. You may choose to attend a reunion or other alumni-sponsored event, become a government affairs advocate, provide a shadowing opportunity, open your home to a student traveling out of town for a residency interview, host a School of Medicine gathering in your home or participate in a medical specialty career event. You can also share your news and accomplishments with us for inclusion in a publication, become a member of the Medical Alumni Association, and "Like" us on Instagram and Facebook.
A yearly gift to the Medical Alumni Association Annual Fund is another way to make a lasting impact. Annual Fund support impacts the lives of current students and is an investment in the future. Gifts to the Medical Alumni Annual Fund are essential for the School of Medicine to provide unique hands-on urban clinical experiences that set us apart from other medical schools and create highly-skilled and sought-after graduates.
