Sheila Ray, M.D. '87
Dr. Sheila Ray is a graduate of the WSU-SOM Class of 1987 and is a board certified Otolaryngologist.
Dr. Ray attended the University of Michigan and received her BS in Zoology and Psychology. She received an MS in Biophysics from Wayne State University and then her medical degree from WSU-SOM in 1987. She did her Otolaryngology residency at Henry Ford Hospital. After completion she joined her father in private practice in the downriver community and currently has privileges at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital and Beaumont-Trenton.
Professionally, Dr. Ray has held many leadership positions including Vice-Chief of Staff at Beaumont-Trenton for 16 years, President of the Michigan Otolaryngological Society and President of the WSU-SOM Alumni Association.
Dr. Ray lives in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan with her husband Alan. They have 3 wonderful children, 2 of whom have followed her into medicine and both have attended WSU-SOM. All are so proud to be graduates of such a great school.
