Dr. Steve Daveluy is a board-certified dermatologist, associate professor and Program Director of Wayne State University Department of Dermatology.  Dr. Daveluy runs the oncodermatology clinic at Karmanos Cancer Institute. He also provides care at the John D Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center with a focus on teledermatology services reaching patients in several states.  Dr. Daveluy earned his bachelor of science in zoology from Michigan State University.  He received his medical degree from Wayne State University, then completed his residency training in the Wayne State University Department of Dermatology.  He joined the faculty of the dermatology department at the conclusion of his training.

Dr. Daveluy is an active clinician and educator of both medical students and residents. His joy for teaching extends to his role at the CME Committee Chair of the Michigan Dermatological Society.  Dr. Daveluy believes strongly in supporting the Wayne State University School of Medicine through his role as President of the Alumni Board of Governors.  He has a passion and conducts research in hidradenitis suppurativa and serves on the board of directors of the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation.  Dr. Daveluy is the vice chair of the Performance Measurement Committee and chair of the Inflammatory Skin Disease and Itch Measure Task Force with the American Academy of Dermatology.  There he has played an instrumental role in developing performance measures to enable physician participation in quality reporting and earned him the 2020 Performance Measure Pioneer Award.  He recently completed a term serving on the Health Information and Technology Committee. 

Dr. Daveluy has been an active member of the Wayne County Medical Society of Southeast Michigan.  He has individually authored resolutions as well as working with residents and medical students.  He has a special interest in nurturing the future leaders of organized medicine and is the faculty advisor for the Wayne State University School of Medicine student chapter of the American Medical Association.
