Join us Tuesday May 13, from 6:30- 7:30 PM EST as alumni Paul Fu, M.D. '14, Brandon Mancini, M.D. '11, and Patricia Wilkerson-Uddyback, M.D. '91, Res. '96 host a discussion on the benefits of earning and using both their M.D. and MBA degrees. Dr. Fu currently serves as the Chief Clinical Officer for Bronson Medical Group employing around 800 physicians in southwestern Michigan. He leads care delivery, opperations, population health, and quality for the medical group. Dr. Fu is a neurologist who completed his residency and MBA at Yale, and graduated from Wayne State School of Medicine in 2014.
Dr. Mancini currently serves as the Medical Director at BAMF Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the emerging field of Theranostics. His primary focus is the treatment of patients with metastatic prostate and gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. After graduating fro Wayne State SOM, he completed his internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Therapeutic Radiology (Radiation Oncology) at Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He also completed a Clinical Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine and Radiomolecular Theranostics in the Nuclear Medicine Clinic at Zentralklinik Bad Berka in Bad Berka, Germany.
Dr. Wilkerson-Uddyback has a clinical and health care administrative career that spans 30 years. She is a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed a combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at DMC. She has served as the CMO Harper & Detroit Receiving Hospitals (DMC) and Vice President of Academic and Community Affairs. She established Medical Education Consulting, LLC which provies consulting services to health systems and medical schools regarding their resident and medical student programming. She is very passionate about mentoring at all levels. She is most proud of the Medical Mentors Pathway Program which she founded in 2013 that gives high school and college students a shadowing experience in numerous medical specialties during the summer. She is a diehard Detroiter and celebrates 32 years of marriage and has 3 wonderful daughters.
