Steven Harrington
Steven Harrington, M.D. ’80, M.B.A., is a regional medical director of Cardiovascular Services at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Mich. He is board certified in cardiothoracic and general surgery.
In addition to earning his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Harrington has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pa., , and a master’s in business administration degree from University of Detroit Mercy.
Dr. Harrington sits on the Henry Ford Macomb Board of Trustees and chairs the System Clinical Coordinating Committee for heart and vascular. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the Michigan Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular surgeons.
He performs more than 400 cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures every year, and has become one of the world’s recognized leaders in the use of the DaVinci surgical robot in cardiac and thoracic surgery.
He has several recent publications.
