Carlos Ramirez
Carlos Ramirez, M.D. ’10, D.D.S., is a head-and-neck surgeon specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, St. John Hospital and Medical Center and Providence Hospital in Michigan.
Dr. Ramirez completed residencies at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Providence Hospital and St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital’s Macomb Center, including one in oral maxillofacial surgery. He completed a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction, head and neck surgery at University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, and earned a dental surgery degree from University of Detroit Mercy.
He is director of the St. John Providence Center for Head and Neck, Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgery in Warren, Mich. He is among a handful of surgeons in southeast Michigan trained to provide the maxillofacial surgical option. He can perform reconstruction for patients who have been significantly disfigured by head and neck cancers or have soft/hard tissue defects.
Dr. Ramirez is a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Medical Association and American Dental Association. He has written many peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and lectured on reconstructive surgery.
In 2014, he was named to dBusiness magazine’s 30 in Their Thirties list.
