Thank you Dr. Potts for an amazing first time shadowing dermatology! I learned a lot already on my first day, and thought it was really interesting how cross-disciplinary dermatology can be. It was very cool seeing you consult with an opthalmologist and reminded me of how comprehensive medicine is. It definitely gave me more motivation to keep learning and doing well in school so I can understand more about what's going on and hopefully contribute more meaningfully eventually. I also really enjoyed how relatable dermatology is. A lot of the conditions we saw are very prevalent in day to day life and can affect everybody. On the other hand, it was super interesting to see some of the more rare diseases. I also really appreciated how patient you were in answering my questions despite being quite busy. Overall, it was a great learning experience, and I look forward to hopefully shadowing more!
