Hope
Dear Dr. Hughes,
Thank you so much for your immense generosity in taking the time to have dinner with Nicole and I last week. I feel like I was able to learn so much about what life as a neonatologist can look like. All of the information you shared about your schedule, your daily work life, and your motivations for entering the field was incredibly helpful in developing a better understanding of the career. Additionally, the encouragement and advice you shared with us was so kind. To hear how passionate you are about being able to work in the medical field and how all of the things we are learning now will click into place within the broader understanding of medicine that we will develop offered a sense of excitement and renewal as we continue this journey. I look forward to learning more about neonatology in the years to come, and developing a better understanding of where the best fit for my passions and personality is within the many medical specialties. Thank you again for your time, your transparency and encouragement, and the most delicious dinner!
Warm regards,
Hope Baldwin
