The Wayne State University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


The goal of this conference is to provide attendees with the most updated information, which will help them in treating their patients using the most advanced and up-to-date procedures. As a result of participating in this activity, the learner should be able to identify and define the key terms used in CME.

Objective for lecture #1: Review the COVID-19 public health response in Detroit; Describe lessons learned from COVID-19; Apply lessons learned to re/emerging infectious diseases.

Objective for lecture #2: Understand signs of burnout and the effects of burnout on performance; identify ways to improve resilience in the face of stress and anxiety; understand the importance of psychological safety and its effect on team performance.

Objective for lecture #3: Understanding how AI impacts care today; learn which medical disciplines have been advancing most quickly due to AI and in what manner; the importance of using comprehensive data sets for AI to avoid unintended risks.

Objective for lecture #4: Learn new ways that cellular therapy is targeting cancer; explore new treatment options for patients with NHL and leukemia; learn how to manage complications and follow-up of patients who receive cellular therapy.

Objective for lecture #5: Define clinician/health care bias and discrimination, and describe their impact on population health disparities; describe the clinician role in eliminating health disparities and promoting equity; provide practical tools for mitigating bias in various clinical encounters, including language, documentation and patient engagement.

Objective for lecture #6: Understand and use foundational terminology; recognize the necessity of learning about identity, including gender, identity and sexual orientation; reflect on use of frameworks of care in their daily lives, such as cultural humility and trauma-informed care; proactively identify and communicate methods for making their work, environment and interactions more inclusive to create a sense of belonging for all.
